The Adams County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the achievements of two exceptional local students at its annual Scholarship Dinner, held last week at the American Legion Post 633 in Seaman.
This year’s scholarship recipients are Alanna Mays, a senior at North Adams High School and daughter of Star and Jamie Mays, and Carson Reed, a senior at Peebles High School and son of Casey and Chris Reed. Both students were recognized for their outstanding leadership, academic excellence, and commitment to community service.
Guests enjoyed a warm evening of celebration and connection, with catering provided by BeeKay Sweets, a local favorite. The event highlighted the Chamber’s continued investment in the future of Adams County youth.

The Chamber also expressed gratitude to its scholarship sponsors, Southern Hills Community Bank and National Bank of Adams County, for their ongoing support of local education.
“We’re so proud of Alanna and Carson and can’t wait to see what they achieve next,” said the Chamber in a social media post. “Their hard work and dedication make them shining examples of the potential we see in our local schools.”
