As summer comes to an end, organizations and volunteers in Adams County will be gearing up for small community festivals.

On August 17th, the Adams County Historical Society will present the 12th annual Cowboy Copas Memorial Concert at the Jefferson Community Center in Blue Creek at 7 PM.  Food will be served, and a cake auction will be held. For more information you can call Mary Fulton (937) 587-2043 or Lynne Newman (937) 587-3358.

On August 24th through August 25th, the Winchester Homecoming Festival will take place. For general information contact Patsy Roberts, President of the Winchester Homecoming Festival at (937) 403-1315 or Shirley Naylor (937) 217-1633 or Jude Endicot (614) 266-0664.

On September 6th through the 8th, the 18th Annual Rarden Whitetail Deer Festival will be held in Rarden Community Park St. Rt. 73 Rarden. Please visit the rardendeerfest.com for more information.

On September 6th through the 8th, the 43rd Bentonville Harvest Festival will take place. For more information, contact Sue Naylor at (937) 549-3360.

On September 12th through September 15, the 52nd Annual Peebles Old Timers Day Festival will take place. Festival starts at 6:00 PM on Thursday in downtown Peebles. For more information contact Marie Palmer at (937) 587-3749.

On September 18th through the 21st, the Seaman Fall Festival will be held. For more information, contact Doris Bailey at (937) 386-2083.

On September 19th through September 21st, the 8th annual Skinny Fest Bluegrass Festival will take place in Lynx. For more information, visit their website at skinnyfest.net.

On September 27th through the 28th, the Adams County Heritage Day in Tranquility at the John T. Wilson Homestead located at 92 Old St. Rt. 32, Peebles will take place. For more information, www.facebook.com/JohnTWilsonHomestead.

On September 29th, the 17th annual Jack Roush Day will take place at the Riverbarn in Manchester. For more information contact Buster at (937) 779-2782.

On October 11th through the 13th, the 11th annual Wheat Ridge Olde Thyme Herb Fair and Harvest Celebration will take place on Tater Ridge Road. For more information contact Kim Erwin at (937) 544-8252.
