Winchester Resident Selected for OHSP Telecommunications Award

Batavia, Ohio – Ohio State Highway Patrol Dispatcher Amanda Scales has been selected for the 2020 Ohio State Highway Patrol Telecommunications Award at the Batavia Dispatch Center. The selection of Dispatcher Scales, 47, is in recognition of outstanding service as a dispatcher during 2020 at the Batavia Dispatch Center. 

Sworn officers and dispatchers chose Dispatcher Scales based on technical job knowledge and ability, enthusiastic work attitude, teamwork, and prompt and courteous response to the public’s requests for information and assistance. 

Dispatcher Scales joined the Highway Patrol in 2018 and has served at the Batavia Dispatch Center throughout her career. 

Originally from Cincinnati, Dispatcher Scales is a 1991 graduate of New Richmond School and studied Criminal Justice at Cincinnati State University. 

Dispatcher Scales resides in Winchester with her husband, Bill and seven daughters; Kiersten, Lexi, Maddie, Paige, Sierra, Mia, Cara.
