The Adams County Farm Bureau is inviting the public to Farm Safety Day being presented by the Adams County Farm Bureau and the Ohio Valley FFA.  The event will be held on Saturday, August 10 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Ohio Valley Career and Technical Center located at 175 Lloyd Road outside of West Union.

During the event, multiple presentations will be given including: Chemical Handling Safety by Winchester Ag; Livestock Handling by OSU Extension; Risk Management by Paul Hall Insurance; Chainsaw Safety by West Union Mower Shop and Stihl; Grain Bin Rescue Demonstration by the Wayne Township Fire Department.  The day will cap off with a tour of the Ohio Valley Career and Technical Center farm.

Lunch will be provided at the event by the Union Stockyard and will be served by the Adams County Cattlemen.  There will be prize drawings and plenty of fellowship.  “We welcome everyone to this free event,” said the Adams County Farm Bureau.  “Providing important training sessions is an important part of our programming and just another reason why being a member of the farm bureau is very valuable.”  While membership into the Farm Bureau isn’t required to attend the free event, memberships will be available for purchase.

To reserve your seat, contact the Adams County Farm Bureau at 937-378-2212.
