Last week, ACRMC officials held a semi-virtual groundbreaking ceremony for the new West Union clinic. The clinic will be located at 11100 State Route 41 in West Union. At the heart of the project, which is scheduled to be completed next year is a 6,400-square-foot state-of-the-art facility that will house areas for family medicine, pediatrics, x-rays, and physical therapy with room to grow.
The event was broadcast live on C103 Country hand was hosted by Alan Bird, CEO of the Adams County Regional Medical Center and Jack McCoy, President of the Adams County Regional Medical Center Board of Directors, alongside other socially distanced board members and community leaders.
“ACRMC Family Medicine located in West Union will serve our patients with high-quality care delivered by experts in pediatrics, orthopedics, radiology, and family medicine close to home,” said Bird. “ACRMC is committed to providing an excellent patient experience along with the most advanced technology. This expansion is an investment in our community.”
The announcement comes as ACMRC continues to compete with healthcare providers that are owned by out of area entities. Less than 10 years ago, the Adams County Regional Medical Center was struggling financially and in 2015 the facility significantly reduced its workforce and brought in a new management team to run the hospital. Since then, with revenue increased and finances stabilized, the hospital is leading the way of providing healthcare to southern Ohio.
Currently, ACRMC Family Medicine in West Union is located at 211 North Wilson Drive, with Nurse Practitioner Amber Thiel and Family Nurse Practitioner Mayumi Hiraide offering family medicine for patients of all ages.
