The Ohio Department of Public Safety has released the official crash report from a May 24 traffic accident involving an Adams County Sheriff’s deputy in the Village of Manchester. The two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of 6th and Washington Streets, prompting a response from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, which investigated the incident.
According to the report, Deputy Allen W. Bradley was traveling westbound on 6th Street when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign, entering the intersection and striking a vehicle driven by Kaitlyn Creamer, who was traveling southbound on Washington Street. Creamer’s vehicle had one passenger, identified as Kaelyn Henschen.
The crash report estimates Deputy Bradley’s speed at 45 mph, significantly exceeding the posted 25 mph limit for the area.
Following the incident, Henschen confirmed on social media that Deputy Bradley immediately exited his cruiser and checked on the safety and well-being of both occupants in the other vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, Trooper Day of the Ohio State Highway Patrol cited Deputy Bradley for a violation of Ohio Revised Code 4511.43(A) — failure to stop at a stop sign.
No serious injuries were reported.
