The Village of Seaman came alive last week as the 112th Seaman Fall Festival brought together residents and visitors for four days of fun, food, and community spirit. Running from Wednesday through Saturday, the long-standing event is one of the oldest festivals in Ohio, and this year was no exception in carrying forward its proud tradition.
While the smell of autumn filled the air, festivalgoers enjoyed unseasonably warm temperatures that felt more like midsummer than fall. Crowds filled the streets to take in rides, games, local food vendors, and entertainment that have become hallmarks of the annual celebration.

Among the highlights of the weekend was the strong presence of the Seaman American Legion Post 633. Commander Eric Newman expressed his appreciation in a social media post, noting the festival’s importance to the Legion family.
“American Legion Post 633 is strong because our Legion family works together,” Newman wrote. “The Street Fair is the primary source of funds for our Auxiliary and they work very hard for it. Planning goes on year-round for the four days of the Street Fair.”
Festival organizers also earned praise for their efforts in making the 112th edition a success. The Seaman Fall Festival Board once again delivered a memorable event that balanced tradition with community involvement, ensuring the festival remains a highlight of the year for Adams County.
As the lights dimmed Saturday night, festivalgoers left with full stomachs, happy memories, and the reassurance that this small-town tradition remains strong—carrying forward more than a century of history in Seaman.
