ACCF Launches Double Your Donation Campaign to Boost Community Growth

The Adams County Community Foundation has launched its 2024–2025 Double Your Donation campaign, offering donors a powerful opportunity to double their impact. Every dollar contributed to the campaign will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $100,000, thanks to a generous matching pledge. This initiative aims to strengthen Adams County’s nonprofit sector, expand workforce training, and sustain the Foundation’s ongoing community support.

Building on the momentum of previous years, the Foundation is expanding its focus. While the growth of long-term endowments remains a priority, this year’s campaign also emphasizes more immediate and flexible funding needs. These funds will support local programs, services, and the Foundation’s core operational infrastructure.

The Adams County Community Foundation is a 100% volunteer-led nonprofit that provides essential support to the county’s schools, nonprofits, students, and community organizations. While endowments help secure the future, operational funds are critical to the Foundation’s ability to serve effectively—covering essential expenses such as office supplies, professional services, marketing, and technology upkeep.

In addition to operational needs, the campaign will enhance the Foundation’s capacity to fund workforce certification and adult education, particularly through programs at institutions like the Adams County Training and Business Center. These initiatives are designed to equip residents with marketable skills, improve career prospects, and strengthen the local economy.

Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded 43 community grants and 133 scholarships to local students pursuing higher education, technical training, or workforce development opportunities. Its Community Grants program continues to support a wide array of nonprofits serving Adams County residents.

Past grant recipients include:

  • Adams County Children Services
  • Shop with a Cop (providing holiday gifts for children)
  • The Humane Society of Adams County
  • Elementary education programs
  • Adams County Arts Council
  • Leadership Adams
  • Manchester EMS
  • Adams County Historical Society
  • Public libraries throughout the county
  • Community food pantries and outreach ministries
  • Mental health and addiction recovery programs
  • Recreation and park improvement efforts

These organizations rely on flexible funding to meet critical needs in areas such as child welfare, public safety, education, the arts, animal care, and emergency services.
