The 2024-2025 school year is coming to a close for students across Adams County, and graduation ceremonies are marking the milestone for high school seniors ready to begin their next chapter.
For students in the Adams County/Ohio Valley Local School District, the final days are approaching quickly. Seniors will complete their last day of classes on Thursday, May 16, with graduation ceremonies beginning the very next day. North Adams High School will hold its graduation on Friday, May 17, from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by West Union High School’s ceremony at 7 p.m. the same evening. Peebles High School will celebrate its seniors on Saturday, May 18, from 2 to 4 p.m.
All other students in the district will be dismissed early on Tuesday, May 21, marking the official start of summer break.
Elsewhere in the county, Manchester Local Schools has already celebrated its graduates with a commencement ceremony held on Saturday, May 10. The last day of school for all remaining students in the Manchester district will be Friday, May 16, with an early dismissal scheduled for 1 p.m.
Adams County Christian School will also wrap up the school year on May 16, with graduation ceremonies taking place that same day.
As the academic year concludes, schools across the county are honoring the hard work and perseverance of students, staff, and families. From college-bound seniors to kindergartners finishing their first full year, Adams County’s schools are preparing for a well-earned summer break.
