A Manchester man has been charged with felonious assault after he allegedly beat another man with a pool ball in a Manchester bar in December.
James Hackathorn, 46, of Manchester was charged with felonious assault after authorities say he hit James Dalton several times with a pool ball at the Bottoms Up Bar in Manchester, Ohio.
Sources close to the defendant say that Hackathorn approached Dalton regarding an alleged hit and run that injured Hackathon’s daughter. It has been claimed that Dalton’s son was the driver of the alleged hit and run.
According to preliminary trial testimony, Dalton was transported to a nearby hospital and treated for serious head injuries. If found guilty, Hackathorn could possibly serve up to 8 years in prison and a fine of $20,000 dollars.
Hackathorn is being held at the Adams County Jail, where his bond has been set at $50,000 dollars.
